İsmail Yılmaz was born in Trabzon on 03.05.1972 and graduated from Erzurum Atatürk University, Faculty of Agriculture. He began his professional life by working in private sector for three years in several jobs.

Co-founder of Tempo Tarım Ltd. Şti., İsmail Yılmaz initiated a business in cut flowers industry. Afterwards, he started a business named ABANNE Fide Üretim Ltd. Şti., which focuses on young plant production in the same industry.

İsmail Yılmaz has been Chairman of Turkish Ornamental Plants and Products Exporters Association Executive Board since April 2018.

He was a former Board Member of Cut Flowers Exporters Association between the years of 1999-2010 and a former Vice Chairman of the Board in Turkish Ornamental Plants & Products Exporters Association between the years of 2010-2015. He speaks English.

İsmail Yılmaz is married and has four children.
