Trade Delegations Continued with Mexico
Under the coordination of the Ministry of Trade, a "General Trade Delegation to Mexico" organized by Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) and Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters Associations (İTKİB) took place in Mexico City, where nearly 600 bilateral business meetings were conducted between Turkish exporters and Mexican buyer companies.
Türkiye Exporters Assembly continues its commercial diplomacy activities with the vision of placing Türkiye among the top 10 countries in exports. Conducting trade delegations to nearby and distant countries every month, TİM, together with İTKİB, organized a "General Qualified Trade Delegation" covering all sectors to Mexico, the world's 11th largest economy, between February 19-22.
Chaired by Hüseyin Memişoğlu, a Supervisory Board Member of TİM and the Chairman of the Denizli Exporters Association (DENİB), the delegation comprised 35 Turkish companies from various sectors. At the opening of the event in the capital Mexico City, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Mexico İlhan Kemal Tuğ, DENİB Chairman Hüseyin Memişoğlu, and representatives of 6 Mexican public institutions addressed the attendees.
The program, which also addressed efforts to enhance bilateral trade relations and explore investment opportunities, convened Turkish and Mexican companies in a B2B event following the inaugural speeches. With the participation of 126 Mexican buyer firms, the event facilitated nearly 600 business meetings between Turkish and Mexican company representatives. After the bilateral business engagements, the program culminated with official and cultural visits.
