In a strategic move set to elevate the prominence of Turkish brands in the international trade arena, the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) has entered into a pivotal Bilateral Cooperation Agreement with the esteemed International Trademark Association (INTA).
The "Bilateral Cooperation Agreement" signed between the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) and the International Trademark Association (INTA), one of the world's leading intellectual property organizations, to increase the international recognition and credibility of Turkish brands, took place at the TİM Foreign Trade Complex.
Under the accord, TİM Chairman Mustafa Gültepe and INTA Chairman Jomaire Fredericks have laid the groundwork for collaborative endeavors in the domain of trademarks, including the enforcement of trademark rights, and the development of cutting-edge programs tailored to intellectual property rights.
Chairman Gültepe emphasized, "INTA stands as the paramount civil society entity worldwide, specializing in the intricate domains of 'trademarks' and 'intellectual property.' The opportunity to seal a collaboration with this influential global institution is a source of immense gratification."
Gültepe underscored the emergent imperative of safeguarding and augmenting the commercial rights of Turkish products and brands, which have garnered heightened visibility on the international stage:
"It is within this new context of needs that we are laying the foundations for a new collaboration with INTA. Our contacts for this collaboration have been ongoing for a year. We have completed the official procedures and have come to the stage of signing today. Within the scope of the cooperation, we will develop projects related to trademark rights and complementary intellectual property rights. We will engage in information exchange on issues of mutual interest. In the coming period, we will have the opportunity to work together in all areas where our interests intersect with INTA. Together, we will increase the international recognition and credibility of Turkish brands".
