Trade Delegations Continued with Tanzania, the United Kingdom, and Algeria
To enhance market diversity, the Türkiye Exporters Assembly facilitated meetings between Turkish exporters and buyers worldwide, organizing comprehensive trade delegations in June to Tanzania, the United Kingdom, and Algeria, encompassing all sectors.
During the Tanzania (Dar es Salaam) General Trade Delegation program, held from June 2-6 in coordination with the Ministry of Trade, 29 Turkish exporting companies from various sectors, including the automotive industry, chemicals, iron, steel, textiles, and electrical-electronics, participated. The event, chaired by TİM Sector Council Member Ali Can Yamanyıldız, saw the attendance of Republic of Türkiye's Dar es Salaam Ambassador Dr. Mehmet Güllüoğlu, Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) Vice Chairman Abdul Abubakar Mwilima, Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) General Director Latifa Khamis, and representatives from the Turkish and Tanzanian business communities. Throughout the program, Turkish exporters engaged in over 450 bilateral business meetings with more than 250 Tanzanian firms.
The United Kingdom (London) Trade Delegation, organized by the Türkiye Exporters Assembly in conjunction with the Istanbul Minerals and Metals Exporters Association General Secretariat from June 10-13, 2024, featured 18 Turkish exporting companies from the textiles, food, furniture, jewelry, construction, and cosmetics sectors. The event, chaired by TİM Vice Chairman Çetin Tecdelioğlu, was inaugurated by Republic of Türkiye's London Ambassador Osman Koray Ertaş, İMMİB General Secretary Dr. S. Armağan Vurdu, Vice Chairman of the Turkish-British Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kaan Dündar, and representatives from the Turkish and British business sectors. The day-long program facilitated over 200 bilateral business meetings between Turkish firms and more than 60 British companies.
In the Algeria Trade Delegation, held from June 23-26, 2024, Turkish exporting companies met with representatives of Algerian firms. The program, which commenced with an opening speech by TİM Vice Chairman Ahmet Güleç, continued with remarks by Chairman of the Algerian Council for Economic Renewal (CREA) Kamel Moula. Algerian Minister of Trade Tayeb Zitouni and Minister of Trade Prof. Ömer Bolat also participated, emphasizing the significance of the Turkish delegation in their speeches. The program concluded with official and cultural visits by delegation members to various sites in Algeria.
