TİM's Trade Initiative in Africa and Asia
The Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM), under the coordination of the Ministry of Trade, organized General Trade Delegations to Senegal, Japan, and Côte d'Ivoire in December, facilitating meetings between Turkish exporters and business representatives in target markets.
With the coordination of the Ministry of Trade, the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) conducted General Trade Delegations to Senegal, Japan, and Côte d'Ivoire in December with the objectives of increasing Türkiye's foreign trade volume, supporting exporters' access to new markets, and strengthening international business collaborations.
A total of sixty-one Turkish companies participated in these trade delegations covering three countries. Turkish firms active in sectors such as chemicals, textiles, ready-to-wear, iron and steel, furniture, machinery, carpets, electrical-electronics, services, and food had the opportunity to directly engage with business representatives of the respective countries, exploring new business and investment prospects through the organized programs.
Turkish and Senegalese business communities convened in Dakar
The program held in Dakar, the capital of Senegal, was attended by Deputy Minister of Trade Özgür Volkan Ağar, Senegal's Minister of Industry and Trade Serigne Gueye Diop, Republic of Türkiye's Ambassador to Dakar Hatice Nur Sağman, TİM Board Members Mustafa Şenocak and Başaran Bayrak, as well as representatives of the business communities from Türkiye and Senegal. Within the scope of the delegation, over two hundred bilateral business meetings were held between Turkish exporters and Senegalese entrepreneurs.
Over one hundred bilateral meetings in Tokyo
The delegation to Tokyo, the capital of Japan, was led by TİM Board Member Birol Celep. The program brought together Republic of Türkiye's Ambassador to Tokyo Oğuzhan Ertuğrul, Masazumi Nishizawa, Deputy General Manager of the International Division at the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), Toyokazu Fukuyama, Senior Director of Global Strategy (Middle East) at the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and representatives of the Turkish and Japanese business communities. More than one hundred bilateral meetings took place between Turkish exporters and Japanese business professionals during the program.
Turkish and Ivorian business representatives convened for B2B meetings
The final trade delegation of December was held in Abidjan, the capital of Côte d'Ivoire, under the leadership of TİM Vice Chairman Ahmet Güleç. As part of the program, TİM Vice Chairman Ahmet Güleç, Republic of Türkiye's Trade Counsellor in Abidjan Musa Arı, Thierry Badou, Director of Investment Attraction at Côte d'Ivoire Investment Promotion Agency (CEPICI), and Dr. Ibrahim Cisse on behalf of the Côte d'Ivoire Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI-CL), addressed the participants. Following the opening speeches, representatives from Turkish and Ivorian companies came together for more than four hundred bilateral business meetings.
