Our Exporters Held Nearly 200 Business Meetings in Japan
Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) continued its commercial diplomacy activities in Japan, the world's third largest economy. Turkish exporters and Japanese company representatives held close to 200 bilateral business meetings in the trade delegation program organized in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, under the coordination of the Ministry of Trade and organization of Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) and Uludağ Exporters' Association (UIB).
Aiming to complete the year with 100 trade delegations, the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) continues to bring Turkish exporters together with buyers from all over the world with its sectoral and general trade delegations within the scope of its "Faraway Countries Strategy". The next stop of the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM), which organized trade delegations to more than 10 countries such as Colombia, Ghana, Ethiopia, Brazil, Chile, Malaysia, Canada, USA, Morocco and Vietnam in March alone, was Japan. Under the coordination of the Ministry of Trade, a trade delegation was held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, on 27-30 March 2023, in the organization of the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) and Uludağ Exporters' Associations (UIB). 30 Turkish exporters from various sectors such as textile, food, construction, mining, automotive, electricity and electronics participated in the delegation headed by Uludağ Fruit and Vegetable Products Exporters' Association (UMSMİB) Chairman Özkan Kamiloğlu.
At the opening ceremony of the program, UMSMIB Chairman Özkan Kamiloğlu, Japan Foreign Trade Organization (JETRO)-Middle East Global Strategy Senior Director Masaru Nishiura, Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) International Division Manager Masazumi Nishizawa, and His Excellency Korkut Güngen, Turkish Ambassador to Tokyo, addressed the participants. After the opening speeches, Turkish exporters and Japanese company representatives participating in the program started bilateral business meetings. During the meetings, Turkish exporters held nearly 200 bilateral business meetings with 70 Japanese company representatives participating in the organization.
