New Destinations for Trade Delegations: Malaysia and Singapore
The Türkiye Exporters Assembly organized trade delegations to Malaysia and Singapore from May 12-18.
Aiming to diversify markets and minimize cyclical risks, the Türkiye Exporters Assembly continues to connect Turkish exporters with buyers around the world. In the trade delegation programs to Malaysia and Singapore, coordinated by the Ministry of Commerce, Turkish exporters met with Asian buyers.
Led by TİM Deputy Chairman Ahmet Fikret Kileci, the delegation included 15 exporting firms from various sectors such as ready-to-wear and apparel, chemicals and products, iron and non-iron metals, machinery, and dried fruit products, visiting Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
The first leg of the Malaysia-Singapore General Trade Delegation took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital, with opening speeches by TİM Deputy Chairman Ahmet Fikret Kileci, Türkiye's Ambassador to Kuala Lumpur Emir Salim Yüksel, and Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry Puan Mastura Ahmad Mustafa. At the event, attended by 120 Malaysian firms, 130 bilateral business meetings were conducted between Turkish and Malaysian firm representatives.
The second leg of the trade delegation in Singapore began with opening speeches by Delegation Leader Ahmet Fikret Kileci, Türkiye's Ambassador to Singapore Mehmet Burçin Gönenli, and Singapore Business Federation (SBF) Director Samantha Theo. In Singapore, Turkish exporters held 100 bilateral business meetings with representatives of over 70 Singaporean firms. The trade delegation program, which lasted until May 18, concluded with official and cultural visits by the exporters.
