In Almaty and Bishkek, Over 500 Bilateral Business Meetings Were Conducted
The Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) organized General Trade Delegation events in Almaty and Bishkek from March 11 to 16 to increase Türkiye's trade volume with Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and to establish new partnerships for Turkish companies.
The Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan General Trade Delegation, coordinated by the Ministry of Trade and organized by the Türkiye Exporters Assembly, was held in Almaty and Bishkek from March 11 to 16. The delegation, led by TİM Deputy Chairman Ahmet Fikret Kileci, included representatives from 41 exporting companies active in various sectors such as chemicals, machinery, and textiles.
The opening ceremony of the Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan General Trade Delegation program, the first stop of which was Almaty, was attended by Republic of Türkiye Almaty Consul General Evren Müderrisoğlu, Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce Almaty General Director Nariman İbragimov, and representatives of the Turkish-Kazakh business community. During the program, Türkiye-Kazakhstan trade relations and investment opportunities between the two countries were discussed, and a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Türkiye Exporters Assembly and the Kazakhstan International Chamber of Commerce (ATAMEKEN). Following the signing ceremony, Turkish and Kazakh companies came together for a B2B event to conduct business meetings. Nearly 300 bilateral business meetings took place between Turkish and Kazakh company representatives during the event.
The opening ceremony of the Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan General Trade Delegation program's second stop, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, was attended by Temir Sariev, Chairman of the Kyrgyz Republic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jibek Abdullaeva, Deputy Chairman of the National Agency for Invesments, Alpaslan Ceylan, Rector of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTÜ), and Şevki Sarılar, Chairman of the Turkish-Kyrgyz Businessmen Association, along with business representatives from both countries. Following the opening ceremony, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Türkiye Exporters Assembly and the Kyrgyzstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Throughout the day-long event, Turkish and Kyrgyz company representatives participated in nearly 220 bilateral business meetings.
