Chairman of the Jewellery Exporters Association

Burak Yakin was born in Istanbul in 1973. While continuing his education, he started his working life in 1985 alongside Nadir Tütüncü, one of the doyen names of the Turkish jewellery industry. On the one hand, while continuing his education, on the other hand, he learned both jewelry production and trade in accordance with the master-apprentice tradition at the Grand Bazaar. After years of being familiar with the subtleties of the jewelry profession, he worked in the management team of Nadir Metal Refinery. Having an important role in the rapid growth of the company, Burak Yakın continued his successful career by assuming more duties and responsibilities in the sector.

In addition to being the CEO of Nadir Metal Refinery, he has held the CEO positions at NMR and Saygın Precious Metals companies. Having served as a Founding Board Member of the Association of Precious Metals and Foreign Exchange Market Institutions and Organizations (DEMAD) and a Board Member of Kuyumcukent Real Estate Investments (KUYAŞ) throughout his business life, Yakın served as Vice President of the Istanbul Chamber of Jewelers (IKO) in 2018-22.

Burak Yakın is the Chairman of the Board of the Jewellery Exporters Association as of April 2022. He is also a Board Member of the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM).

Believing in the importance of remaining a lifelong student, Yakın continues his education at the Faculty of Law of Al Farabi University of Kazakhstan.

Yakin is married and he has 4 children.
