The Cooperation Protocol between Türkiye Exporters Assembly and Turkish Airlines Renewed
Exporters will deliver their products to 37 cities in 25 countries at discounted rates via Turkish Cargo.
The collaboration initiated by the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) and Turkish Airlines (THY) to ensure swift and cost-effective transportation of exporters' goods to global markets continues. Turkish Cargo, the air cargo brand of Turkish Airlines, has renewed for the sixth time the protocol offering discounted cargo transportation to exporters. Under the renewed agreement, Turkish Cargo will transport export goods to 37 cities across 25 countries, with discounts reaching up to 41%.
TİM Chairman Mustafa Gültepe announced that they have embarked on 2025 with a target of $280 billion in goods exports and $121 billion in services exports. Stressing the importance of strengthened competitive conditions alongside enhanced logistical support to achieve this goal, Gültepe stated:
“In order to increase our exports, we must identify new markets in addition to our existing ones. Air cargo transportation holds a distinct role, particularly in accessing distant markets. Here, speed and cost parameters are of paramount importance. At this point, we have signed the protocol for the sixth time with Turkish Airlines, our country's source of pride and our most crucial supporter. With this protocol, effective from March 10 to August 31, 2025, we hope to further increase the share of air transportation. Within the framework of the protocol, our exporters will be able to deliver their products at discounted rates to 37 cities in 25 countries. The average discount rate will be 41% for general cargo and 37% for perishable cargo. We extend our gratitude to the Turkish Airlines family for the sixth edition of this protocol, which provides our exporters with a significant cost advantage.”
“Reinforcing Our Strength in Foreign Trade”
Evaluating the cooperation, Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, remarked:
“As the national flag carrier, we prioritize enhancing the global competitiveness of Turkish exporters. In this regard, we have renewed for the sixth time the 'Export Campaign Protocol' signed with TİM, which reduces our exporters' transportation costs. This year, we have both increased the discount rates and expanded the product range to reach more producers. Depending on the product type, our exporters will be able to deliver their goods securely to 37 different destinations included in the campaign, benefiting from discounts of up to 41% for general cargo and 37% for perishable cargo. We hope that this well-established cooperation will continue to strengthen our country's foreign trade by boosting exports.”
