The Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) Expanded Council of Presidents Meeting was held at the Istanbul Foreign Trade Complex Conference Hall with the participation of Minister of Labor and Social Security, Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan, and Istanbul Governor Davut Gül. Hosted by TİM Chairman Mustafa Gültepe, the meeting focused on strategies to enhance employment. During the event, Exporters Association Presidents presented Minister Işıkhan with the current challenges facing various sectors as well as the demands and expectations of exporters.
“The secret to success lies in consultation.”
In his opening remarks, TİM Chairman Mustafa Gültepe emphasized that, just as in all aspects of life, the key to success in trade is consultation. He stated, “I have been involved in production and exports for nearly 35 years. Throughout these years, I have personally witnessed the significance of consultation and reaching a consensus. At TİM, we place great importance on sustaining this culture.”
Reminding attendees of the regular meetings held with Exporters Association Presidents, Gültepe said, “We discuss our current issues, proposed solutions, and our vision for the future. Today, we will talk with our Minister about working life, our demands and expectations on this subject, and our recommendations for increasing employment.”
“We are determined to take all necessary initiatives for a Türkiye that grows through exports.”
Minister Işıkhan highlighted that, in an era where those who produce and sell prevail over those who merely consume, the most effective way to navigate the relentless waves of global competition is through exports, the helm of the economy. He stated, “The export sector has always been the driving force of our economy, serving as a gateway for Türkiye to the world and playing a leading role in our development. It is a crucial arena that reflects our strength on the international stage.”
Reaffirming their commitment to taking all necessary initiatives for a Türkiye that grows through investments, employment, production, and exports, Işıkhan added, “In this regard, we have complete trust in this esteemed assembly and its members, who have been at the pulse of the export world for over 30 years.”
