TİM Women's Council, which operates within the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), has signed a new study to further engage women in the economy and export. The Council launched a survey to implement important projects targeted with its new work, to reach the number of female exporters in Türkiye, and to bring female exporters to the TİM family.
TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle, who called for participation in the survey, said, "We support our female entrepreneurs and business people at all levels of export. With this study, more female exporters will be reached, projects will be developed, needs will be determined and solutions will be presented. Our women will be the architects of 'Rising Türkiye with Export'. With the dedication and hard work of our women, we will set new records. A stronger economy is possible with our women being more effective in export."
Founded by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the only umbrella organization of 100,000 exporters with 61 Exporters Associations and 27 sectors, TİM Women's Council is working to improve women's employment and entrepreneurship in the export world. In this context, the Council prepared a survey to implement the important projects targeted in this context, to reach the number of female exporters in Türkiye, and to bring female exporters to the TİM family. The survey, which was sent to more than 100 thousand exporter companies under TİM's study, asked the women who held executive, board members, presidents, and similar positions in the company. According to the information obtained as a result of the survey prepared with the slogan 'Strong Women, Strong Export, Stronger Türkiye' on the https://tim.org.tr/women-survey website; For the first time in our country, a database will be created about women working in the business world. With this study, more female exporters will be reached, projects will be developed, needs will be determined and solutions will be presented.
"With our work, we will reach more female exporters"
TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle called for participation in the survey and said, "With the vision of 'Strong Women, Strong Export, Stronger Türkiye', we have accelerated our efforts towards female exporters. We increase female entrepreneurs and business people at all levels of export. The greater involvement of our women in the economy and export will be decisive in the process in which we will build our country's strong tomorrow. Because as an export family, we believe in the indomitable effort and perseverance of our women; We do. 'Our women will be the architects of Türkiye rising with export. Our female entrepreneurs need to take a stronger position in business decision-making mechanisms by having equal rights. The steps we will take within this framework will mean that we will carry out exemplary work not only in our country but also globally."
"Our council has done great things in a short time"
Noting the importance of the work of the TİM Women's Council, Gülle said: Our Women's Council has achieved great things in a short time. Our TİM Women Export Talks series, which acts as a bridge between our female exporters that enables the sharing of experience, the South American and African Virtual Trade Delegation dedicated to our female exporters, the Zero Waste in Export Project, the Sustainability Action Plan, the Women's Entrepreneurship Program and many more projects have demonstrated the vision of our Council very successfully. We have many projects that we plan to realize during the year. We will reward our female exporters, who make significant contributions to production, employment, and export for the development of our country's economy, at the 'Strong Women of Export Award Ceremony', by evaluating them according to their annual export performance. With our "Strong Women of Export Film" project, which is also among our visionary projects, we will promote the achievements of our female exporters.
"We must increase support for our female entrepreneurs"
Emphasizing that the number of female entrepreneurs and all the support provided to entrepreneurs should be increased, İsmail Gülle said, "As TİM, we continue our work intensively in this direction. Since 2015, we have supported more than 150 female entrepreneurs within TİM-TEB Enterprise House. Within the scope of UR-GE projects, we have initiated sectoral clustering activities to improve the cooperation of our female exporters. With these projects, we aim to increase the potential of our female exporters to take orders by combining their supply capacities. We appreciate the activities of the TİM Women's Council. Our council will hopefully succeed in increasing the power and share of our women in export as soon as possible, which is our main goal. We will build Türkiye, which rises with export, with our women."
