Export is a project that is the product of the republic. We are confidently moving towards our 100th-year target of $242 billion in the Medium-Term Program. With the current momentum, hopefully, we will reach this figure before the 100th year of the Republic. At the end of the year, according to the assessment of many international organizations, our country will close the year with nine percent growth. 2 points of this growth are directly from exports, three points will come from the increase in industrial production triggered by exports and one point from new investments that are also rising with exports. In other words, we are growing with export, we are strengthening with export."
Despite the harsh conditions of the pandemic that has shaken the world economies deeply, the Turkish export family, which started 2021 with a record by showing its ability to produce in all conditions and supplier power, continues to set an all-time monthly export record every month. While in 10 of the last 12 months, the export record has been broken, Türkiye's share of world export has risen above one percent for the first time in the history of the Republic. The export family, which has exceeded the threshold of $200 billion and $20 billion per month in the last 12 months, achieved historic success by exporting all-time monthly in October, the 98th anniversary of the Republic's declaration, as it does every month. In October, our exports were $20.8 billion, with an increase of 20.2 percent compared to the same month last year. With this figure, while signing the highest monthly export figure in our history, we once again exceeded the limit of 20 billion dollars and registered that we have reached a new league in export. I am proud to say that despite the negative impact of the period this figure is the highest export figure in our history. With this record, our export for the Period of January-October reached 181.8 billion dollars. In the last 12 months, we have already exceeded our annual export target of 211 billion dollars by exporting 215.7 billion dollars. So much so that we have set export records in 10 of the last 12 months. Thus, we have already achieved our goal in the Medium-Term Program. We are proud of our export family. We have successfully surpassed an important milestone for our year-end goals. Our year-end target was $211 billion; the current momentum shows that it will easily exceed this figure; We are even going to push the $220 billion level. We will continue to work continuously for "Türkiye Rising with Exports" and to realize all our goals one by one. Export is a project that is the product of the republic. While exporting $50.8 million in the first year of our Republic, we managed to exceed $1 billion in the 50th year, $10 billion in the 64th year, $100 billion in the 84th year, and $215 billion in the 98th year. We are taking firm steps towards our 100th Anniversary target of $242 billion in the Medium-Term Program. With the current momentum, I hope we will reach this figure before the 100th year.” he said.

The impact of last month's decrease in euro/dollar parity on exports was $180 million in the negative direction. However, looking at the overall year, we see a positive $3.6 billion impact. On the other hand, trade in local currencies is becoming more and more important. According to the declarations filed with Turkish Lira, a total of TL 6.6 billion was exported to 171 countries. 7 thousand 389 of our companies preferred Turkish Lira in their export transactions. Congratulations to our companies. We will continue to support local currencies in bilateral trade."
"For us, a stable exchange rate means stable export"
Referring to the contribution of export to growth, "Our exporters have never been in favor of a speculative increase in exchange rates. Also, our exporters have never had a demand or expectation regarding the rise in exchange rates. For us, a stable exchange rate means stable export. The numbers also clearly show that regardless of the exchange rate, we continue to break records in exports. We are a huge family working for production, for employment, for the prosperous future of this country. At the end of the year, according to the assessment of many international organizations, our country will close the year with nine percent growth. 2 points of this growth are directly from exports, three points will come from the increase in industrial production triggered by exports and one point from new investments that are also rising with exports. So, we are growing and strengthening with export." he said.
