It is in the interests of both countries that Türkiye and Israel cooperate to meet these challenges. Our business environments are already exemplary in this regard. The trend in our bilateral trade relations is constantly upward. Despite the pandemic, trade volume has stabilized by over $6 billion in the last 4 years. All this shows that our business communities have already found the natural way of cooperation.”
“Our economies complement each other. Israel is Türkiye's 9th largest trading partner and Türkiye is Israel's 8th largest trading partner. However, there is no real obstacle for both countries to be among the top 5 trading partners. This is an applicable goal. For this purpose, especially after the meeting between our presidents, Turkish official institutions will continue to give our business communities the support they deserve in their joint work. In order to reach our full potential, cooperation opportunities in areas such as tourism, infrastructure and construction, energy, medical industry, agricultural production, and high technology should be examined. In addition, given the complementary nature of our economies, the potential for cooperation in third countries should also be monitored.” Şekerci said.
