TİM CHAIRMAN GÜLLE: OUR FUTURE AND OUR FATE WITH AZERBAIJAN ARE COMMON!

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) has started physical trade delegations that cannot be done due to the pandemic while continuing the Virtual Trade Delegation programs it has established to reduce the effects of Covid-19 on export. TİM organized its first physical trade delegation to sister country Azerbaijan after 19 months.

Commenting on the start of the physical delegations, TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said, "We worked nonstop during the pandemic period. In the 19-month, we carried out 94 Virtual Trade Delegations to a total of 72 countries. Our future and our fate are common just like our past with our Azerbaijani brothers which we have a union of history, language, religion, and culture. That is why it is of particular importance for us to carry out our first physical delegation in 19 months to our sister country Azerbaijan."

The Turkish exporters, which are the field workers of economy and trade diplomacy, achieve historical achievements by setting records every month despite the coronavirus pandemic. The Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the only umbrella organization of 100 thousand exporters with 61 exporters and 27 sectors, started physical trade delegations during the normalization period while continuing the Virtual Trade Delegation programs that will create opportunities for new cooperations and sales to participating companies during the pandemic period and increase export figures.

In this context, TİM organized its first physical trade delegation to sister country Azerbaijan after 19 months. TİM Board Member Salahattin Kaplan chaired the trade delegation for Baku, Azerbaijan, between October 11 and 14 with the coordination of the Ministry of Commerce and the organization of TİM. 155 job interviews were held in the contacts that attracted a lot of attention.

Gülle: We must increase our cooperation with Azerbaijan in all areas

Commenting on the trade delegation gone to Azerbaijan, TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said, "We worked tirelessly in the pandemic. In the 19-month, we carried out 94 Virtual Trade Delegations to 72 countries, but the physical organizations' meaning is just a different thing! Our future and our fate are common just like our past with our Azerbaijani brothers which we have a union of history, language, religion, and culture. That is why 19 months later, we held our first physical delegation to our sister country Azerbaijan. For almost 100 years, we have come to these days with the idea of two states, one nation, with a growing sense of brotherhood. We must develop our spirit of unity and solidarity in all areas and further increase our cooperation. Trade is first among these areas we need to improve."
